The College of Engineering/ University of Karbala, Department of Architecture, organized a visiting to Imam Al-Hussein Medical Hospital, the center of genetic blood diseases (thalassemia), on Monday 20/3/2023, with the participation of a group of first-year students. The visiting included many conversations with specialized doctors working in this center, and the Director of the Center for Genetic Blood Diseases, Dr. Hassan Al-Jubouri, and his Assistant, Atheer Al-Jubouri, they spoke in detail about the causes of this disease in children and the possibility of avoiding infection by conducting premarital examinations. The visitors presented gifts and games for the patients.
The visiting aims to enroll students into social activity, enhance the humanity, provide support to patients. This scientific integration between the institutions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and other sectors is one of the important principles that the Deanship of the College of Engineering adopting.
